Bericht Key Highlights • Consolidated revenues were EUR 314 million with record high exports share of 36% • Gross profit improved by 9% to EUR 143 million • EBITDA grew by 9% to EUR 131 million • Net profit amounted to EUR 16 million • Net debt reduced by 20% to EUR 173 million with net debt to EBITDA ratio of 1.3x Performance in Key Segments Sugar production The sugar segment delivered sales of EUR 151 million, contributing 48% to the Group’s revenues. Volumes of sugar sales increased by 11% to 363 thousand tonnes including record high export share of 34 thousand tonnes. In the season of 2015 sugar production corrected by 24% y-o-y to 355 thousand tonnes, in line with adjustment in the sugar market. Additional areas available due to lower plantings of sugar beets were used to grow grains and oil crops. Agriculture The agricultural segment ranked second in the structure of consolidated revenues with EUR 82 million (26% of total revenues). Sales volumes of grains and oilseeds increased by 6% to 534 thousand tonnes. The Group’s total harvest of grains and oilseeds amount¬ed to an absolute record of 790 thousand tonnes, exceeding the crop output of 2014 by 16%. Exports in the segment were 84%. Soybean processing The soybean processing segment generated EUR 51 million (16% of total revenues). In 2015, the Globyno soybean processing plant produced 146 thousand tonnes of high-protein soybean meal, 34 thousand tonnes of soybean oil and 10 thousand tonnes of husk. Approximately 99% of oil and 47% of meal were exported. Dairy Farming Dairy segment generated EUR 24 million (8% of total revenues). ASTARTA’s milk production was 103 thousand tonnes, almost flat y-o-y. The Group’s total cat¬tle stock was adjusted by 2% to 29.4 thousand heads, as the herd was reshuffled to gain higher productivity per cow.
