Mechelen, Belgium; 1 February 2016 - Galapagos NV (Euronext & NASDAQ: GLPG) received a transparency notification from Wellington Management Group LLP.
Pursuant to Belgian transparency legislation[1], Galapagos received a transparency notification on 28 January 2016 from Wellington Management Group LLP, who notified that the 2,168,093 Galapagos shares held by its entirely-controlled subsidiary Wellington Management Company LLP on 19 January 2016 represent 4.73% of the current 45,837,043 outstanding Galapagos shares as a result of Galapagos' most recent capital increase. Wellington Management Group LLC's shareholding thus passively decreased below the lowest 5% threshold of Galapagos' voting rights. This is the second transparency notice received from Wellington Management Group LLP, reporting an increased number of shares held since the first notice.
