Amsterdam, May 5, 2014 - - Gemalto (Euronext NL0000400653 GTO), the world leader in digital security, announces that it will support BankID of Norway in creating a nationwide system for robust electronic authentication and legally-binding digital signatures using the Valimo mobile ID solution. BankID is the central body for eID established by the Norwegian banking industry. The mobile BankID service works across all networks and phone types, and has already been adopted by over 270 service providers in Norway, including major banks and numerous other commercial organizations.
