Zaandam, the Netherlands, December 30, 2013 - Ahold has repurchased 406,500 Ahold common shares in the period from December 23, 2013 up to and including December 27, 2013.The shares were repurchased at an average price of € 13.0461 per share for a total consideration of € 5.30 million. These repurchases were made as part of the € 500 million share buyback program announced on February 28, 2013 as increased by € 1.5 billion to a total amount of € 2 billion announced on June 4, 2013.
The total number of shares repurchased under this program to date is 61,415,351 common shares for a total consideration of € 773.01 million.
