On behalf of Rijkswaterstaat Western Netherlands South, Heijmans is going to be responsible for the variable maintenance of the road network, viaducts, bridges, and tunnels in plot 1. The work will be carried out in various locations in the western Netherlands, on the N3, N59, N915, A4, and A15, and two engineering works over the Oude Maas river. The maintenance contract is part of the IVOD programme (Integraal Variabel Onderhoud Droog, or 'integrated, variable, maintenance, dry') by which Rijkswaterstaat is seeking to encourage innovative maintenance solutions. The contract is for a period of one year, and has a value of almost €18 million for Heijmans.
