Zaandam, the Netherlands, September 2, 2013 - Ahold has repurchased 2,529,513 Ahold common shares in the period from August 26, 2013 up to and including August 30, 2013. The shares were repurchased at an average price of € 12.2998 per share for a total consideration of € 31.11 million. These repurchases were made as part of the € 500 million share buyback program announced on February 28, 2013 as increased by € 1.5 billion to a total amount of € 2 billion announced on June 4, 2013.
