Vimetco N.V., the global producer of primary and processed aluminium products announces today its interim financial results for the six months ended 30 June 2013. Sales for the period were of USD 1,090 million (H1 2012: USD 1,180 million). This decrease is mainly due to lower aluminium prices, accompanied by weaker demand. In the first half of 2013, the Company’s EBITDA stood at USD 110 million (down from USD 150 million, in H1 2012), while it managed to strongly reduce overall losses, to USD 4 million, from USD 166 million in the first half of 2012.
