Gouda - Royal Imtech N.V. (IM-AE, technical services provider in and outside Europe) announces an exclusive 10 years cooperation agreement with aircraft manufacturer Airbus for the implementation of new drying technology in Airbus' drying halls worldwide. Imtech's innovative drying technology allows several types of Airbus aircrafts to be dried twice as fast, which reduces aircraft production time. At the same time, this new technology delivers savings of 45% on energy for heating and 50% for electricity. In addition, there is a 50% reduction in CO2 emissions.
René van der Bruggen, CEO Imtech: 'Imtech has been a technology partner for Airbus for many years, for example in Germany, UK and China. Active involvement with and knowledge of specific technical challenges Airbus faces has resulted in a unique solution for drying paint on several aircrafts types in the Airbus fleet. During the next 10 years, Imtech will be installing new drying technology solutions - Imtech Smart Drying System - and the attendant technical services, including maintenance services, in Airbus drying halls. This has been agreed in an exclusive cooperation agreement. It underlines the technological expertise and innovative character of Imtech solutions, and contributes to further growth for Imtech in and outside Europe.'
