Amsterdam, the Netherlands, July 26, 2012 - Ahold today announced that the Dutch competition authority (NMa) has approved the transfer of 78 C1000- and 4 Jumbo stores to Ahold.
On April 26, 2012, Ahold announced that it had reached an agreement with Jumbo Supermarkten on the transfer of C1000 and Jumbo stores, as part of Ahold's strategy to reshape retail at the company and grow.
NMa approval is one of several customary conditions for the completion of the transaction. Completion of the transaction will take place when all conditions have been fulfilled.
