Amsterdam, the Netherlands, February 27, 2012 - Ahold has repurchased 3,385,396 Ahold common shares in the period from February 20, 2012 up to and including February 24, 2012. The shares were repurchased at an average price of € 10.8051 per share for a total consideration of € 36.58 million. These repurchases were made as part of the € 1 billion share buyback program announced on March 3, 2011.
