Amsterdam, the Netherlands, April 4, 2011 - Ahold has repurchased 288,595 Ahold common shares in the period from March 28, 2011 up to and including April, 1, 2011.
The shares were repurchased at an average price of € 9.4518 per share for a total consideration of € 2.73 million. These repurchases were made as part of the € 1 billion share buyback program announced on March 3, 2011.
The total number of shares repurchased under this program to date is 5,176,198 common shares for a total consideration of € 48.5 million.
