Amsterdam, the Netherlands, January 3, 2011 - Ahold has repurchased 995,959 Ahold common shares in the period from December, 27, 2010 up to and including December, 31, 2010. The shares were repurchased at an average price of € 9.9330 per share for a total consideration of € 9.89 million. These repurchases were made as part of the € 500 million share buyback program announced on March 4, 2010.
