LeasePlan announces that it has signed a EUR 1.475 billion 3-year committed credit facility with a consortium of 16 banks. This amount reflects a significant over-subscription, which demonstrates the continued support and confidence of the global banking community in LeasePlan's business model and funding strategy.
With all-in pricing for this facility substantially inside comparable Debt Capital Markets pricing, the transaction is another milestone in the implementation of a diversified funding strategy for the company. This credit facility allows LeasePlan to maintain healthy liquidity buffers going forward.
Other examples of LeasePlan’s funding diversification include the securitisation of assets and the successful launch of LeasePlan Bank in the Netherlands early 2010, attracting over EUR 1 billion in the first seven months.
