's-Hertogenbosch - Heijmans has been awarded a contract by the Directorate-General for Public Works and Water Management for the design of two rush-hour lanes for the A9 motorway. The project involves an approximately 10 km stretch between the cities of Uitgeest and Alkmaar, including the construction of emergency lay-bys and the modification of civil works. The work is designated as Priority Package C and is part of the priority legislation introduced by the Dutch government to combat traffic congestion by accelerating the construction of road widening projects.
