Royal Wessanen nv today announced that at the next Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) to be held on April 22, 2009, it will propose to appoint a new member to its Supervisory Board.
Proposed new member of the Supervisory Board will be Mr. F. (Frank) van Oers, Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of Sara Lee International – Coffee & Tea and Executive Vice President Sara Lee Corporation. Frank van Oers has extensive financial and operational experience in FMCG multinationals.
Mrs. Marie-Christine Lombard will step down in view of professional demands of her principal employer. Mr. F.H.J. Koffrie will step down from the Supervisory Board in view of assuming the role of interim CEO of the company.
Other members of the Supervisory Board are Mr. D.I. (Durk) Jager, Chairman (eligible for re-election at the upcoming AGM), Mr. L.M. (Theo) de Kool (eligible for re-election at the upcoming AGM) and Prof. J.G.A.J. (Jo) Hautvast.
Wessanen is indebted to Marie-Christine Lombard for her valuable contributions from an international perspective.
