Amsterdam, 22 April 2008 --- AMG Advanced Metallurgical Group N.V.
("AMG", EURONEXT AMSTERDAM: "AMG") announced that its wholly owned
subsidiary AMG Invest GmbH has completed the acquisition of 62,3% of
the shares in Graphit Kropfmuehl Aktiengesellschaft, Hauzenberg from
Quantum Unternehmensbeteiligung GmbH & Co., Hamburg, ("Quantum") for
EUR 18.25 per non-par share value. AMG Invest GmbH has also acquired
11,5% of the outstanding shares of Graphit Kropfmuehl AG, bringing
AMG Invest GmbH's total ownership to 73,8%.
