Halifax, January 24, 2007 – Homburg Invest Inc. (“Homburg”) (TSX: HII.A & HII.B and AEX:HII ) announced today that it has entered into a binding agreement to acquire 2,962,244 units of Alexis Nihon Real Estate Investment Trust (“Alexis Nihon”), representing approximately 11% of the issued and outstanding units of Alexis Nihon, pursuant to a private agreement and that Homburg now owns 5,274,539 units of Alexis Nihon, representing approximately 19.5% of the issued and outstanding units of Alexis Nihon.
