Halifax, Nova Scotia, January 19, 2007 (TSX: HII.A & HII.B and AEX:HII ) – Homburg Invest Inc. (“Homburg”) announced today that on January 18, 2007 it acquired 1,917,895 units of Alexis Nihon Real Estate Investment Trust (“Alexis Nihon”), representing approximately 7.1% of the issued and outstanding units of Alexis Nihon, pursuant to a private agreement. Homburg now beneficially owns 2,312,295 units of Alexis Nihon, representing approximately 8.6% of the issued and outstanding units of Alexis Nihon, all of which have been acquired since December 27, 2006.
