Halifax, Nova Scotia, January 9, 2007 (TSX: HII.A & HII.B and AEX:HII) - The board of directors of Homburg Invest Inc. (“Homburg”) has approved the issuance of up to 6,368,164 Class A Subordinate Voting Shares ("Class A Shares") of the Corporation at a subscription price of $5.12 per Class A Share, under a private placement (the "Private Placement") for an aggregate purchase price of $32,604999.68 (approximately EUR 21,250,000. The private placement is expected to close on or about the end of January 2007, subject to normal conditions.
