Brunel further improves growth and profitability in Q3

Amsterdam, 2 November 2006. During the first nine months of 2006, Brunel International generated a turnover of € 364 million, up 32% compared with the same period in 2005. The gross margin increased by 34%, from € 61 million in 2005 to € 81 million in 2006, thanks to contributions from all regions. The EBIT figure of € 22.4 million during the first three quarters represents an increase of 61% compared with the same period last year.
Turnover and gross margin registered Q3 growth figures of 34% and 29% respectively. The average workforce increased from 4,610 during the first three quarters of 2005 to 5,962 in 2006.
Brunel Netherlands recorded € 83 million in turnover through September 2006, which represents a 26% increase compared with 2005. In Q3 2006 the company registered a turnover of € 28 million (+29%).
Brunel Germany witnessed a 40% increase in turnover figures (to € 75 million) in the first nine months of 2006. Turnover in the third quarter amounted to € 28 million (+49%). Still showing stronger growth than it’s main competitors Brunel Germany continues to do well due to the innovative competence centre concept we use.
Brunel Energy generated € 188 million in turnover through Q3 2006, which signifies a 37% increase compared with 2005. In Q3 2006 the company registered a turnover of € 62 million (+39%).

The Brunel International Board of Directors expects an EBIT figure of € 34 million for 2006 as a whole, up 6% compared with its previous forecast. Prospects for further expansion in the company’s three core regions remain favourable.
