The Financial Services and Markets Authority (FSMA) warns the public against the activities of Bow Financial, a company that offers investment services.
Bow Financial is not an authorized investment firm in Belgium. It is therefore not allowed to provide investment services in or from Belgium.
Moreover, according to the information available to the FSMA, the activities proposed could be of a fraudulent nature, i.e. boiler room fraud. More information on this form of fraud is available in the general warning published by the FSMA on 4 May 2016.
The FSMA thus strongly advises against responding to any offer of financial service made by Bow Financial and against transferring money to any account number it might mention.
According to information in the FSMA’s possession, the investors contacted by Bow Financial were previously victims of fraud by Dashan International, a company about which the FSMA issued a warning on 10 September 2015. Bow Financial claimed to have taken over the portfolios of Dashan International’s clients. However, this is simply a continuation of the initial fraud.
Bow Financial uses the website www.bowfinancial.com, the email address firstname.lastname@example.org and the phone number +81 3 6745 1764. It claims to have its registered office in Japan (Kokusai Shin Akasaka East Building, 2-14-27 Akasaka, Minato-ku, Tokyo, Tokyo-to, 107-0052).
If you wish to check in general whether a proposed transaction complies with the financial regulations, please use the search function (available in Dutch and French only) on the website of the FSMA. You can also contact the FSMA (email address: email@example.com).
