Amsterdam, August 31, 2015 - Gemalto (Euronext NL0000400653 GTO), the world leader in digital security, has been selected by Tigo, the fastest growing mobile network operator in Colombia and part of the Millicom Group, to deliver a suite of unique M2M solutions in Latin America. Starting in Colombia, Tigo customers will use Gemalto's Cinterion® Machine Identification Modules (MIMs) and secure MIM services to improve preventive maintenance with remote monitoring and management of MIMs in the field. The solutions optimize performance of M2M applications for virtually any vertical market including fleet management, smart metering, remote asset management, surveillance and alarms, automotive and mHealth solutions.
