Zaandam, the Netherlands, September 23, 2013 - Ahold has repurchased 1,990,248 Ahold common shares in the period from September 16, 2013 up to and including September 20, 2013.The shares were repurchased at an average price of € 12.9379 per share for a total consideration of € 25.75 million. These repurchases were made as part of the € 500 million share buyback program announced on February 28, 2013 as increased by € 1.5 billion to a total amount of € 2 billion announced on June 4, 2013.
The total number of shares repurchased under this program to date is 36,215,567 common shares for a total consideration of € 440.55 million.
