Amsterdam, the Netherlands, December 19, 2011 - Ahold has repurchased 2,870,733 Ahold common shares in the period from December 12, 2011 up to and including December 16, 2011. The shares were repurchased at an average price of € 9.7152 per share for a total consideration of € 27.89 million. These repurchases were made as part of the € 1 billion share buyback program announced on March 3, 2011.
