Amsterdam, the Netherlands, October 31, 2011 - Ahold has repurchased 3,015,345 Ahold common shares in the period from October 24, 2011 up to and including October 28, 2011. The shares were repurchased at an average price of € 9.3508 per share for a total consideration of € 28.20 million. These repurchases were made as part of the € 1 billion share buyback program announced on March 3, 2011.
