Amsterdam, the Netherlands, October 10, 2011 - Ahold has repurchased 2,676,089 Ahold common shares in the period from October 3, 2011 up to and including October 7, 2011. The shares were repurchased at an average price of € 8.9094 per share for a total consideration of € 23.84 million. These repurchases were made as part of the € 1 billion share buyback program announced on March 3, 2011.
