Amsterdam, the Netherlands, September 26, 2011 - Ahold has repurchased 3,455,702 Ahold common shares in the period from September 19, 2011 up to and including September 23, 2011. The shares were repurchased at an average price of € 8.2546 per share for a total consideration of € 28.53 million. These repurchases were made as part of the € 1 billion share buyback program announced on March 3, 2011.
The total number of shares repurchased under this program to date is 50,182,041 common shares for a total consideration of € 446.78 million.
