Amsterdam, the Netherlands, September 19, 2011 - Ahold has repurchased 2,231,000 Ahold common shares in the period from September 12, 2011 up to and including September 16, 2011. The shares were repurchased at an average price of € 8.1825 per share for a total consideration of € 18.26 million. These repurchases were made as part of the € 1 billion share buyback program announced on March 3, 2011.
