Zwolle, 3 July 2009 – Wavin, Europe’s leading supplier of plastic pipe systems and solutions, announces that today during the extraordinary general meeting (the "EGM") the necessary resolutions have been adopted required for the EUR 225 million rights issue. This rights issue forms part of a comprehensive recapitalisation package to strengthen Wavin’s capital structure. This package also includes a EUR 500 million amended and restated credit facility and a EUR 475 million forward start facility, maturing in April 2013. The net proceeds of the rights issue will be used for debt reduction.
Further details on the rights issue are expected to be announced on 6 July 2009.
