Amsterdam, 18 March 2008 --- AMG Advanced Metallurgical Group N.V. ("AMG", EURONEXT AMSTERDAM: "AMG") earlier today made certain statements in its earnings press release regarding a proposed equity issuance. AMG wants to clarify that the issuance of new ordinary shares is not imminent and will only be launched in connection with specified initiatives which would enhance shareholder value.
