A combined contracting company established by Draka Comteq Telecom BV and Van den Berg Infrastructuren, a subsidiary of BAM Infratechniek, starts to connect around 40,000 houses / buildings to a fibre optic network in Amsterdam (area’s Zeeburg, Oost/Watergraafsmeer and Osdorp). This network is based on a Fibre To The Home (FTTH) concept developed by Draka Comteq for city environment applications which has been further optimized for the specific requirements of this unique project. The project is another clear sign of Draka Comteq’s continued leadership in the FTTH area.
