Today an interview with Brunel International’s CEO, Jan Arie van Barneveld, was published on Reuters. Brunel was not shown the content beforehand and therefore was not able to make necessary corrections. Somehow certain statements were misinterpreted. Hence we would like to assure our investors and rectify certain alleged quotes.
The announcement of us not meeting our 6% operating profit margin for the Energy division for 2006 is false. This estimation was never made for 2006, but in the past has been mentioned as a target for the medium-term. In the first half year of 2006 Brunel Energy realised an EBIT of 4.1% which indicates that a 6% EBIT for year end is not likely.
