De Central Bank of Ireland, de CSSF en Finansinspektionen waarschuwen voor Thüngen Financial (Luxembourg).

It has come to the attention of Finansinspektionen (FI), the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority, that persons claiming to represent Thungen Financial are offering Swedish investors the opportunity to purchase their shareholdings. They are also offering investors the opportunity to buy more shares. Thungen Financial does not exist according to FI’s investigations. Thungen Financial is not authorised by FI to conduct securities business or other financial operations in Sweden. Neither is it under FI’s supervision. FI has not received any notification of cross-border activities from other EEA countries.

Neither is Thungen Financial authorised to provide financial services according to the supervisory authority of the country in which the company claims to be
domiciled. FI warns investors and others about doing business with firms that are not authorised to offer financial services. The list of companies authorised to offer
financial services can be found at www.fi.se under Company Register.

The Central Bank of Ireland today (22 July 2014) published the name of an unauthorised investment firm, Thüngen Financial (Luxembourg). Thüngen Financial (Luxembourg) is not authorised as an investment firm by the Central Bank.

A list of unauthorised persons/firms published to date is available on the Central Bank website.

It is a criminal offence for an unauthorised person or firm to provide financial services in Ireland that would require an authorisation under the relevant legislation for which the Central Bank is the responsible body for enforcing. Consumers should be aware that if they deal with a person or firm which is not authorised, they are not eligible for compensation from the Investor Compensation Scheme.

Any person wishing to contact the Central Bank with information regarding such persons or firms may telephone (01) 224 4000. This line is also available to the public to check if a person or firm is authorised.

Since obtaining the necessary legal powers in August 1998, the names of 241 unauthorised persons or firms have been published by the Central Bank.

The Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF) warns the public of the activities of an entity named Thüngen Financial which claims to be established at 27, rue Aldringen, L-1118 Luxembourg (website: www.thungenfinancial.com).

The CSSF informs the public that Thüngen Financial has not been granted the required authorisation to offer financial services in or from Luxembourg.
