The Financial Services and Markets Authority (FSMA) warns the public against the fraudulent activities of Solar Courtage, a company which is illegally offering consumer credit.
Solar Courtage is not an authorized lender or credit intermediary in Belgium, nor is it an authorized insurance intermediary, despite what the company states on its website. Solar Courtage cannot therefore carry out any activities in Belgium as a lender, credit intermediary or insurance intermediary.
Moreover, according to the information available to the FSMA, it seems that the credit being offered by Solar Courtage is entirely fraudulent. Additional information about this type of consumer credit fraud is provided in the general warning published by the FSMA on 13 May 2016.
The FSMA therefore strongly advises against responding to any offers of credit made by Solar Courtage and against making any payment to it.
This company claims to have its registered office in the Netherlands, at Amerikastraat 10, 5232 BE ’s-Hertogenbosch, and uses the website www.solar-courtage.net.
If you wish to check in general whether a proposed transaction complies with the financial regulations, please use the search function (available in Dutch and French only) on the FSMA website. You can also contact the FSMA directly (email address: firstname.lastname@example.org).
