Nippon Holdings (or Nippon Capital Asset Management) and Osaka Financial

De Britse toezichthouder FCA en de Deense toezichthouder Danish Financial Supervisory Authority waarschuwen tegen de activiteiten van Nippon Capital Asset Management and Osaka Financial.  

Bericht DFSA (31/5/2016): 

The Danish Financial Supervisory Authority has been informed that Nippon Capital Asset Management, which now goes by the name Osaka Financial, unsolicited has offered to carry out financial services in Denmark. Osaka Financials address is 28f, Grand Front Osaka Tower B, 3-1 Ofuka-cho, Kita-ku, Osa-ka 530-0011, Japan and telephone (+81) 654604970. Osaka Financials homepage is www.osakafinancial.com.

Nippon Capital Asset Management used the website www.nipponholdings.com. The homepage is now closed.

Osaka Financial and Nippon Capital Asset Management do not have authorization from the Danish Fi-nancial Supervisory Authority in accordance with the Financial Business Act to carry out such services in Denmark.

The companies have not been notified in Denmark from any foreign Financial Supervisory Authority.

The Financial Services and Markets Authority (FSMA) warns the public against the activities of Nippon Holdings (or Nippon Capital Asset Management) and Osaka Financial, that offer investment services.

Nippon Holdings (or Nippon Capital Asset Management) and Osaka Financial are not authorized investment firms in Belgium. They are therefore not allowed to provide investment services in or from Belgium.

Moreover, according to the information available to the FSMA, the activities proposed could be of a fraudulent nature, i.e. boiler room fraud. More information on this form of fraud is available in the general warning published by the FSMA on 4 May 2016.

The FSMA thus strongly advises against responding to any offer of financial service made by Nippon Holdings (or Nippon Capital Asset Management) and Osaka Financial and against transferring money to any account number they might mention.

Nippon Holdings (or Nippon Capital Asset Management) uses the website www.nipponholdings.com, the phone number +81 645 604 471 and the email addresses clientservices@nipponholdings.com and contact@nipponholdings.com. It claims to have its registered office in Japan (24F Abeno Harukas, 1-1-43 Abeno-suji, Abeno-ku, Osaka 545-0052). It uses a bank account said to have been opened in the name of the company Able Century Limited with Hang Seng Bank Ltd (Hong Kong) and a bank account said to have been opened in the name of the company Glory Jet Limited, likewise with Hang Seng Bank Ltd (Hong Kong).

Nippon Holdings (or Nippon Capital Asset Management) also works with the Franklin Transfer Services company, which claims to be a transfer agent. The latter company uses the website www.franklinfinancial.net and the email address contactus@franklinfinancial.net. It claims to have its registered office in South Africa (Musgrave Centre, 8th Floor, 115-125 Musgrave Road, Durban 4062, KwaZulu-Natal).

As for Osaka Financial, it uses the website www.osakafinancial.com, the email address general@osakafinancial.com and the phone number +81 645 604 970. It claims to have its registered office in Japan (28f, Grand Front Osaka Tower B, 3-1 Ofuka-cho, Kita-ku, Osaka 230-0011). This company claims to have taken over the activities of Nippon Holdings (Nippon Capital Asset Management). It has been the subject of a warning issued by the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM), dated 17 February 2016.

Nippon Holdings (Nippon Capital Asset Management) and Osaka Financial are suspected of having ties with Mitsui Credit Global (Mitsui Credits) and Fuji Credit Asset Management, companies about which the FSMA has also published a warning.
