Information about submitting Market Money Fund reports
As a result of the Money Market Fund Regulation (MMFR), investment funds must report on a quarterly basis. It is important that this takes place in a timely and complete manner.
Submitting reports
MMF reports can be submitted under ‘Reporting obligations’ in the AFM Portal. Here, you will find an overview of your company’s reporting obligations and those of the investment funds managed by your company. If you click on this overview, you will see further information about these obligations and will be able to submit the relevant MMF reporting by uploading it.
If you do not have an account for the AFM Portal yet, you can register at the bottom of the login page. Instructions for this can be downloaded here. A manual on how to optimally use the reporting environment in the AFM Portal can be downloaded here.
Submission deadlines for reports
The submission deadline for MMF reports is 30 days after the end of the relevant reporting period. Below is an overview of the legal deadlines for the submission of reports:Reporting period End date Submission deadline

If you have an AFM Portal account with authorisations for ‘Reporting’, you will receive an email as soon as new reporting obligations arise for your company. Under ‘Reporting obligations’ in the AFM Portal, you can also find your submission deadline and the status of your reporting obligations.
Format of the reports
MMF reports must be submitted in XML format. For every reporting obligation pending in the AFM portal, you must generate and submit a separate XML file containing only the data for the relevant reporting obligation. In this respect, each subfund counts as an individual fund. The current requirements your reports must meet can be found on the ESMA website. More information about AIFMD reporting IT technical guidance can also be found on the ESMA website.

Frequently made errors in completing the reporting forms
MMF reports are regularly rejected because data points are entered incorrectly. Therefore, a brief explanation of these data points follows below:
NtlRegnNb: mandatory field for the fund, in the reporting obligation in the AFM portal under “Reference code” you can find which value is expected here.
FndAuthrtyRegnNb: mandatory field, here you enter the same account number of the administrator as for the AIFMD report and not the permit number. In an AIFM reporting obligation in the AFM portal, under "Reference code" you can find which value is expected here.
FndMgmtCpnyAuthrtyRegnNb: mandatory field, here you enter the same account number of the administrator as for the AIFMD report and not the license number. In an AIFM reporting obligation in the AFM portal, under "Reference code" you can find which value is expected here.
AltrnId: this is not a mandatory field for both fund and manager, but if you enter it incorrectly, the report will be rejected.
