Fit and proper
Persons who determine the policy of a financial enterprise either solely or collectively or who supervise such policy must be proper and suitable for the performance of their tasks. Persons joining a financial enterprise are assessed by the AFM and/or De Nederlandsche Bank for properness and suitability.
Notification or cancellation of persons to be assessed
You must notify or cancel (co-)policymakers of alternative investment fund managers via our AFM Portal. Also in case of an investment firm, the (co-)policymakers of the investment firm are notified or cancelled via the AFM Portal. In the case of an investment company with an external manager, the manager must pass on this notification.
You also notify or cancel (the directors of) a >10% shareholder of an alternative investment fund manager to us via the AFM Portal. This applies even if the shareholder is established abroad.
