Notification of appointment and retirement of policymakers and co-policymakers

When an audit firm wishes to appoint a policymaker or co-policymaker, it must notify the AFM of the prospective appointment. Any such appointment is subject to a prior assessment by the AFM of the person’s trustworthiness. In the case of audit firms with a PIE-licence, such appointments are also subject to the prior assessment of the person’s suitability.
