Requirements and licences
As a supervisory authority, the AFM is responsible for processing license applications from providers of crypto asset services (CASPs, Article 63 MiCAR) and notifications from other financial institutions (Article 60 MiCAR). The application for a CASP permit or notification can be submitted by market parties to the AFM from April 22, 2024 and, if approved, can be used from December 30, 2024.
