The AFM also emphasises that the questions and answers of the Q&A are formulated in general terms and only seek to provide information and guidance in a general sense. The questions and answers do not provide guidance for concrete situations and do not detract from the statutory duties and responsibilities of those involved. Where the answers given give some form of interpretation to rules of a principle-based nature, this does not exclude that compliance with those rules is also possible in another way.
