Zaandam, the Netherlands, January 6, 2014 - Ahold has repurchased 2,033,598 Ahold common shares in the period from December 30, 2013 up to and including January 3, 2014.The shares were repurchased at an average price of € 13.0730 per share for a total consideration of € 26.59 million. These repurchases were made as part of the € 500 million share buyback program announced on February 28, 2013 as increased by € 1.5 billion to a total amount of € 2 billion announced on June 4, 2013.
