The Directorate-General of Public Works and Water Management (Rijkswaterstaat) intends to award Heijmans a contract for the variable maintenance of various structures, such as hard/road surfaces, civil works and guide rail for the next two years. The work involves the parcels Utrecht and Noord-Brabant-West in the context of the 2012-2013 Variable Maintenance Framework Contract (VMC). The initial value of the contract is approximately € 20 million over a two-year period with two consecutive one-year extension options. The award is provisional and is expected to become definitive at the end of March.
