Applying for a change to or withdrawal of your licence
If you wish to have a change made to your licence or to have it withdrawn, you must submit an application for this.
Change to your licence
If you wish to have a change made to your licence, you can submit an application for this in our AFM Portal, including if you have a PIE licence and wish to have it changed to a regular licence. In the latter case, we will ask you to provide additional information to prove that you no longer perform statutory audits at PIEs.
Having a regular licence changed to a PIE licence
If you have a regular licence and wish to have it changed to a PIE licence, please contact us by email at wta@afm.nl. We will then first have an exploratory interview with you and subsequently determine what follow-up steps are required.
Having a PIE licence changed to a regular licence
If you have a PIE licence and wish to have it changed to a regular licence, you need to apply for a partial withdrawal of the PIE licence.
Having a licence withdrawn
If you wish to have your licence withdrawn, you need to submit an application for this in our AFM Portal. In your application, you need to confirm that you no longer perform statutory audits and prove this with substantiating documentation.
Once your licence has been withdrawn, we will remove your firm from our public register. Your firm will then no longer be allowed to perform statutory audits, and you will be prohibited from stating that you has a licence from the AFM, including on your own website. You will be required to continue to pay the fees for our ongoing supervision up to the day on which the licence is withdrawn.
