Amsterdam, 2 May 2012 (Regulated Information)--- AMG Advanced Metallurgical Group N.V.'s ("AMG", EURONEXT AMSTERDAM: "AMG") wholly owned subsidiary, AMG Invest GmbH ("AMG Invest") announced that it has acquired over 5.4% of the outstanding shares of Graphit Kropfmühl AG, ("GK") through the voluntary public tender offer (the "Voluntary Tender") pursuant to the German Securities Acquisition and Tender Act. AMG now owns approximately 93.5% of GK's shares. The Voluntary Tender period ended on April 25 and the share settlement was completed on May 2. AMG financed the acquisition of the GK shares from available balance sheet resources.
AMG owns more GK shares than the 90% threshold required to initiate a squeeze out in accordance with German securities law.
