Provision of information

Supervision of the provision of information is one aspect of the conduct supervision by the AFM. The provision of information refers to all information provided by financial enterprises to consumers. This may be in the form of brochures and quotations, but also includes advertising and information provided on websites.

Which laws?

Section 5 of the BES Islands Financial Markets Act (Wfm BES) and Section 7 of the BES Islands Financial Markets Decree (Bfm BES) include regulations with respect to the provision of information. The regulations governing the provision of information cover both mandatory and voluntary information, and also set requirements for both pre-contractual information and the voluntary and mandatory information to be provided during the product term.
