Rectification: standard amounts for lending will apply from 1 May 2018 instead of 1 April 2018
The former newsletter for the Caribbean Netherlands outlined that the new standard amounts for consumer loans would start to apply from 1 April. This is incorrect.
The ministry of Finance has indicated that the new standard amounts for 2018 will start to apply from 1 May 2018. This means that the old standard amounts - which you can find on our website - will be applicable until 1 May. The ministry of Finance changes the standard amounts for consumer loans yearly.
