The AFM starts the online course 'AFM approval procedure prospectuses' in which the various phases of the approval procedure can be viewed by means of video on demand. People interested in the requirements for approval of a prospectus can visit the website of the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) for this purpose.
The AFM provided the course during this year and the past year to small and medium-sized businesses that intend to offer securities in the Netherlands and that draw up their own prospectus. There were more registrations for this course than there were places available. We are therefore pleased that we are able to offer the option of following this course online.
You can view a trailer of the online course below.
The whole online course (Dutch language) is available via the link:
(The online course has been optimised for the iPad and iPhone, Google Chrome, Safari and Internet Explorer 8 or higher.)
The video is divided into several chapters. These can be viewed directly without having watched the previous chapters. It is possible to view sheets simultaneously with the video which contain a summary of the information of the video.
The online course deals, inter alia, with the following subjects:
- When is approval of a prospectus required?
- Requirements concerning the structure and content of the prospectus;
- Errors that occur frequently; and
- Obligations following approval of the prospectus
The AFM hopes that the online course meets the demand of market parties. If you have any questions after watching the online course, do not hesitate to contact us.
The AFM is committed to promoting fair and transparent financial markets.
As an independent market conduct authority, we contribute to a sustainable financial system and prosperity in the Netherlands.
