Which conduct-of-business regulations apply to branches of banks or insurers with their registered offices established on Curacao or St. Maarten which have a licence there from the CBCS?

In principle, each branch must also comply with the conduct-of-business regulations of the Wfm BES. This concerns, for example, the regulations for the expertise and trustworthiness of directors of the branch, the business operations, and the duty of care in the treatment of clients. The conduct-of-business regulations are applicable insofar as they relate to activities that the branch actually performs in the Caribbean Netherlands (Section 3:14 of the Wfm BES).
