Recently ESMA (the European Securities and Markets Authority) published the 19th extract from its confidential database of enforcement decisions on financial statements. The extract includes a selection of 12 decisions that were taken by national enforcers in the period from February 2014 to April 2016.
These extracts are published two times a year with the aim of strengthening supervisory convergence and providing issuers and users of financial statements with relevant information on the appropriate application of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Issuers and auditors are advised to take these enforcement decisions into account when preparing and auditing the financial statements. The next extract of the database is expected to be published by the end of 2016.
