Axel Neumann (cloned firm), AXN Trading and Eventus Alternatives Commercial Broker LLC
The Financial Services and Markets Authority (FSMA) warns the public against the activities of Axel Neumann (cloned firm) and AXN Trading, companies that offer investment services.
Axel Neumann (cloned firm) and AXN Trading are not authorized investment firms in Belgium. They are therefore not allowed to offer investment services in or from Belgium.
Moreover, according to the information available to the FSMA, the activities proposed could be of a fraudulent nature, i.e. boiler room fraud. More information on this form of fraud is available in the general warning published by the FSMA on 12 October 2015.
The FSMA thus strongly advises against responding to any offer of financial service made by Axel Neumann (cloned firm) and AXN Trading and against transferring money to any account number they might mention.
Axel Neumann claims to have registered offices in the United Kingdom, at Highbridge Industrial Estate, Oxford Road, Uxbridge, UB8 1HR and in the United Arab Emirates, at 283 Grosvenor Business Tower, Tecom, Dubai, P.O. Box 74599. It uses the website www.axel-neumann.com (offline).
Axel Neumann has stolen the identity of Axel Neumann Versicherungsmakler GmbH, a company with registered office in Germany (Hauptstrasse 19, Pliezhausen, DE-72124 Germany). This practice is typical of the fraud mechanism known as a “cloned firm”: someone steals the identity of existing persons or companies (a lawyer, a registered company, etc.) in order to give the appearance of trustworthiness or legitimacy, and thereby to convince investors.
AXN Trading Ltd in turn claims to have registered offices in the United Kingdom, at Capital Court, Windsor Street, Uxbridge, UB8 1AB and in the United Arab Emirates, at Grosvenor Business Tower, Tecom, Dubai, 74599. It uses the website www.axntrading.com (offline).
These companies use a bank account purportedly opened in the name of Eventus Alternatives Commercial Broker LLC.
If you wish to check in general whether a proposed transaction complies with the financial regulations, please use the search function (available in Dutch and French only) on the website of the FSMA. You can also contact the FSMA (email address: email@example.com).
